Soarin' Prototype

Soarin' stands five inches tall to the wingtips and eight inches long. He is hand crafted out of a wire and foil frame covered with Super Sculpey clay, oven-baked, painted with acrylics, and finished with clear Krylon sealer. He has a two inch screw inside the rear leg opposite the leg in the air to act as a balance for the two legs he stands on. You won't see the nail unless you break the figurine. He stands okay but is not the most stable guy, so I don't recommend putting him on surfaces that shake. He's got a crack on one wing close to where it meets his body. This is a result of a flight accident with a heavier Fluttershy Funko figurine that knocked into him and crushed his wing. His wing is attached fine; it's just got a scar now.

I haven't made anything like this in two years. It took forever, like 16 hours or something crazy. I guess that's not as bad as 400 hours for an animation.
